Takulandilani! Welcome to the Warm Heart of Africa on your first day. Today with help of our guide you will be transferred to Mua Mission where you shall experience a true Malawian culture at the Kungoni Centre. Mua Mission’s Kungoni Centre of Cultural arts owns the Namalikhate Lodge where you will spend your two nights. Local dancers patronize the place spiced with cultural activities.
Day 1 – 3: Mua Mission – Namalikhate Lodge




Day 3 – 5: Tongole Wilderness Lodge – Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve
In the afternoon of the second day of Malawi we shall transfer after lunch to Nkhotakota wilderness where we shall spend the next two nights. The eco-lodge offers the best of local Malawian culture without losing its natural stunning natural setting. Tongole Lodge lies in the deep rugged forest of Miombo woodlands of Nkhotakota Wild Life Reserve. Activities here include game drive and water safaris, birding and bush walks.




Day 5 – 7: Nankoma Island – Blue Zebra lodge (executive chalets)
Today we leave Tongole Wilderness lodge and head to the beautiful island of Nankoma upon arrival at the Sengabay coastland. A 20 min boat transfer awaits for us to transfer Nankoma – Blue Zebra Lodge for the following two nights. The luxurious Blue Zebra Lodge offers exclusive tented en-suite chalets, each overlooking the lake and its clear waters. Full board package here will offer you the infinity pools, kayaking, volleyball game inclusively. You can enjoy snorkeling at free usage of the available equipment.




Day 7 – 9: Nyika Plateau – Chelinda Lodge
After breakfast at Bua River lodge it is time to head north. On this day we transfer to Nyika national park Chelinda lodge for our next two nights. The Lodge is located in the heart of Nyika Plateau within Nyika National Park. The lodge is nestled in the alpine highlands of the park where you have a view of rolling hills. It gets cold in the evening and hence warm clothes are recommended to supplement the provided fire places. Here you will enjoy several activities that include bush walks, mountain biking, birding and game drives.




Day 9 – 12: Kaya Mawa – Likoma Island
After exploring the Plateau, we head to Lilongwe for a short flight to Malawi’s island in the North. Kaya Mawa Lodge is located at the head of a crescent-shaped bay on Likoma Island. There is a great view of Mango trees and ancient baobabs. The store and thatched cottages of Likoma offers there the lodge a beautiful scenery. The local community helped in building the lodge entirely by hands. This will be your home for the rest of the days.




Day 12: Kaya Mawa to Lilongwe International.
Today we fly out to Lilongwe to connect with another flight back home.
Nothing very good lasts forever and you shall say goodbye to the warm heart of Africa. End of tour. Zikomo!
